Our Perinatal Community Mental Health team provides mental health support for parents and infants during the perinatal period. Perinatal is the time from becoming pregnant up to a year after giving birth.

We are an outpatient service caring for parents through pregnancy and up until the infant is 12 months old.
People often associate perinatal mental health with women or mothers, but we recognise the diversity in families and provide safe and welcoming services for all parents.
This service is available to eligible people across the Grampians region.
We work collaboratively with families to assess and treat the mental health of parents. We support and strengthen the attachment and relationship between parent and infant within your home environment.
Once referred to our team, you will be fully assessed to help us understand your needs. We collaborate with you and your family to set your recovery goals. Partners or support people are encouraged to be involved in your care.
We provide a range of treatment paths, either as an outpatient or in your own environment.
We work closely with the Parent & Infant Unit. An inpatient admission to the Unit may be considered as part of your treatment.
