Grampians Regional Continence Service

The Grampians Regional Continence Service (GRCS) offers assessment and management for people experiencing any type of bladder or bowel problems.

Who we care for

Anyone with bladder or bowel problems, can access our service. We provide care across the entire Grampians area, with outreach clinics held at least monthly in: 

  • Ararat 
  • Daylesford 

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

GRCS supports people with continence issues who are diagnosed with a disability. This may include assessments, interventions, and access to continence aids. It's important to include continence in your NDIS plan. 

What you can expect

We help you to understand your continence concerns and find ways to manage them. We can also assist with special equipment if required.  

We offer advice, education, and support through individual management plans. We also work with families, carers and health professionals in understanding and managing incontinence. 

Services provided: 

  • Continence assessment, adults and pediatrics (from 4 years old and above) 
  • Pelvic floor rehabilitation 
  • Assistance with urinary catheter management, condom drainage and continence aids 
  • Management of bowel problems 
  • Constipation management 
  • Management of bed wetting 
  • Toileting problems 
  • Education and advice 
  • NDIS Assessments 
  • Urodynamic Studies (investigation that measures pressures, volumes and flow rate of the lower urinary tract 

The Continence Resource Centre, available through GRCS, has information on a range of continence products. Bed alarms can be hired if needed.
