CT Scan

A CT scan (computed tomography) is a medical imaging procedure that uses x-rays and digital computer technology to create detailed pictures of the body.

Who we care for

We provide services to anyone requiring a CT scan.

What you can expect

CT scans are non-invasive, painless, and generally safe, with no recovery time needed.

Our staff will let you know if any preparation is needed for your scan. For some scans you may need to fast or have a blood test prior to your appointment.

If you are, or think you might be, pregnant, please inform your doctor and radiographer, as x-rays can be harmful to an unborn baby. An alternative test may be available.

CT Interventional Procedure

A CT Interventional Procedure uses imaging machines for guidance and is invasive. Usually, a preliminary scan is done to locate the exact point for injection. Our specialist radiologist uses CT scanning to guide a needle into your body for a tissue biopsy or to inject anaesthetic/anti-inflammatory drugs.
