Art Therapy

Art Therapy provides an avenue to express, explore and externalise thoughts feelings and behaviours.

Art therapy uses the creative process of making art to improve physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. In a small group setting, it helps you express feelings through visual art and understand your emotions and concerns.

Art therapy isn't about creating a perfect piece of art. You don't need to know how to draw or paint. It's a form of emotional support that uses art to explore and express emotions. Guided by a trained art therapist, the focus is on the process, not the end product. There's no right or wrong way to do art therapy.

Benefits of art therapy

Research shows that art therapy can help people with cancer manage intense emotions, reduce stress, reconnect with positive emotions, and ease physical symptoms related to cancer or its treatments.
