Grampians Health has appointed key positions that are aimed managing and prioritising strategic projects outlined in the Strategic Services Plan.
Leigh Ryall has joined Grampians Health as a Director of Project Management while Sharon Sykes as Director of Services Planning and Improvement at Grampians Health.
These appointments align with Grampians Health’s commitment to achieving its strategic goals through innovation, improvement, and exceptional service delivery.

Leigh joins Grampians Health following a successful tenure at the Shire of Moorabool and at the City of Melton, where he played a pivotal role in the Major Projects team. With extensive experience as a project manager, manager of project managers, and strategic portfolio coordinator for major projects, he brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.
Leigh’s primary focus will be establishing a dedicated Project Management Office responsible for delivering strategically aligned, feasible, cost-effective, and high-priority projects.
Sharon, a registered nurse with an impressive 35 years of experience in the health sector, has a proven background in improvement science. Her diverse career encompasses Orthopaedic studies in London, leadership positions in health services across the Northern Territory, international disaster management, and steering Clinical Service development for a new hospital in Darwin.
Prior to her current position, Sharon worked as an Improvement and Innovation Advisor at Ballarat Health Services, where she excelled in driving service improvement initiatives, leveraging improvement science and fostering staff capacity building.
Grampians Health was formed on November 2021, following the amalgamation of Stawell Regional Health, Edenhope and District Memorial Hospital, Wimmera Health Care Group and Ballarat Health Services.
